The Price Of Peace
Welcome to this daily devotional podcast — Another Day in His Steps. Today’s Word is from Leviticus 3 — where God gives instructions about the peace offering. This offering wasn’t about guilt. It wasn’t even required. It was voluntary — an offering of gratitude, fellowship, and communion. But even peace had a price. And that price… was blood. This episode explores a deep truth: Peace is never cheap. The world may promise peace through distractions, avoidance, or compromise — but real peace, God’s peace, comes only through sacrifice. In Leviticus, the worshipper would lay their hand on the animal, then watch it die. The message was clear: peace with God demands a life. Today, we don’t bring bulls or goats — we look to the Lamb. Jesus became our peace offering. Not just to end hostility between us and God — but to invite us into fellowship. Let the Word remind you: Peace is not the absence of conflict. It’s the presence of a sacrifice. And at the center of it… is blood.
